La Isla de Afuera and La Isla de Adentro are located in Las Perlas archipelago. The location is privileged, between the islands of Contadora and Contradora, Viveros, and La Isla del Rey.
The distance between Panama City and the Islands of Afuera and Adentro is approximately 50 nautical miles. For this reason, it is attractive for people who like quiet environments to rest.
The Gulf of Panama is world-recognized as an attractive place to practice fishing at sea. Numerous species of ocean fruits find by fans when they practice this sport in the area. For the abundance of species, the Gulf of Panama is one of the most famous fishing places in the world.
We also find numerous mollusks, snails, Cambombias, and many other species.
Another attraction of the area is whale watching from July to November. During the trip to La Isla de Afuera, it is possible to see dolphins and fish of numerous species jump from one side to another during the whole journey.
The Isla de Afuera and the Isla de Adentro, forms a natural marina. For this reason, it is a good idea to adapt it and helps to protect the boats from some storms. Also, the proximity from the Adentro Island of Afuera to Rey Island facilitates the supply of drinking water, medical services, food, and security.
At the highest point, on the Isla de Afuera, you can build a house with a 360-degree view. From there you can see Contadora, Viveros, Saboga, La Isla del Rey, and others islands around.
Also, there it is possible to find famous natural pearls since the time of the conquest. The famous Pilgrim Pearl was found in its waters. This Pearl was a property of the Spain King Felipe II, and later of the famous actress Elizabeth Taylor that was in her possession until her death.
Both Islands, Afuera, and Adentro have a total area of 144809.7 SqM2
