RIO CHIRRIPO DEL ATLANTICO, BARBILLA, LIMON, COSTA RICA: 158 HA farm of virgin forest special for ecotourism or conservation. Located on the Atlantic slope of Costa Rica, adjacent to the Nairi Awari indigenous reserve, it is located a short distance from the Barbilla National Park, for its natural beauties Barbilla is cataloged as part of the Talamanca-la Amistad Biosphere Reserve, a site declared by (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site. It is one of the few places where all five species of felines are still represented, as well as 38 species of mammals, 211 species of birds, 20 species of amphibians and 40 species of reptiles. Its flora has been estimated at at least 88 species of plants, many of these species of flora and fauna are in danger of extinction.
