It is situated in Brasov, in The Hartibaciului plateau (Podişul Hârtibaciului).. and it is less than 1 km far away from the village...this is one of core breeding and resting sites for rare and threatened species, and some rare natural habitat types which are protected in their own right by law.
The Hartibaciului plateau represents the Sachsen civilization core of Transilvania, and is the second biggest protected area, after Danube Delta.
Recent field studies have confirmed the existence in this area of outstanding biodiversity recognized by institutions and experts at European level.
The area takes part from one of the three ecotourism destination from Romania, named “Colinele Transilvaniei”.This peaceful location is situated at about 20 minutes far away from Fagaras and near the future Transilvania Highway.
